Where can I get VibeCoach?

VibeCoach is live on the App Store — the download button is on the home page.

Is it available on Android?

Upcoming.

What lifts does it support?

At launch: back squat, dumbbell bench press, and conventional deadlift. More variants are being validated and will be added on a rolling basis.

How accurate is the form feedback?

Our goal is to match what a competent pro coach would notice watching the same video. We run each supported lift through a large library of good and bad reps before adding it to the app — but we're honest that edge cases happen. If a callout seems off, email us — those reports are what we use to tighten the model between releases.

Does it need an internet connection?

Yes — analyses run on our servers, not on your phone, so they're quick but require connectivity. Recording works offline — the analysis runs when you're back on Wi-Fi or cellular.

Do I need a special camera rig?

No special rig is needed — a phone propped on the floor, a stack of plates, or a cheap phone stand is fine. But framing matters a lot. For each lift, we show you a reference coach video. Match that video's camera angle and distance as closely as you can — the closer the match, the better the analysis. Different angles or distances can significantly degrade the feedback quality.

Are there any limits on the videos I can upload?

A few requirements: portrait orientation, 10–60 seconds (35–55s is the sweet spot), 720p–1080p resolution, 30–60 fps. The app catches anything outside these ranges before upload — no wasted round trips.

Portrait only. Landscape clips are rejected — the analysis assumes the body fills the frame vertically.

10–60 seconds per clip — 35–55 seconds is the sweet spot. That's roughly 5 to 8 reps for most lifts, accounting for the fact that deadlifts run slower because of the re-grip between reps. Walks to and from the bar are excluded from scoring automatically, so don't worry about trimming them off.

720p–1080p resolution. The reference videos are recorded at 720p portrait. The app auto-converts 1080p sources to 720p before upload, so you don't have to fiddle with camera settings — just keep your phone in its default video mode. Sub-720p or above-1080p is rejected up front.

30–60 fps. The standard phone recording modes (30 or 60 fps) both work as-is. iPhone slow-motion (120/240 fps) is rejected — the analyzer needs evenly-paced frames.

What happens to my videos?

Your videos stay yours. The app processes each video on-device before uploading to our servers for analysis. Your videos stay on our servers until you delete the analysis from the app, or email us to request deletion. We never share, sell, or use your videos to train models beyond the reference set we've explicitly licensed.

Will there be a paid tier?

Yes, eventually. For now, everything is free while we learn how people use the app. Expect a free tier with a set of analyses per month and a paid tier for heavier users down the road. No ads, ever.

Who builds this?

VibeCoach is made by Mixer Inc., a small independent team that builds human-centered consumer products. And lifts.
